The maximum any student Pays a month:
R200
The minimum any student pays:

A student coming to Saturdays Dragon Class only :
R150 per month

A student coming to Saturdays Dragon and Tiger Class only :
R200 per month

A student coming to Thursdays Dragon Class only :
R200 per month

A student coming to ALL classes:
R200 per month

 

 

Do I need to be physically fit:

No! You will get fit in class

 

 

Do I Need to know any Kung Fu:

No, even better if you have never done martial arts before, as there will be nothing to unlearn

 

 

How do I Join the school:

You may try a class out, and see if you like it, this costs R50.
we used to allow people to try class for free, but we had alot of people just coming for an afternoon of entertainment with no intention of actually studying kungfu. SO if you are prepared to pay R50 for a class then we know you are keen on actually seeing what kungfu is about. ALSO since we have 2 or 3 kungfu teachers in any one class at one time, R50 is worth every penny. You also do not need to try out you can just bring the fee for the month and join.
BUT first ALWAYS call the Head of the school to advise him you are attending. If you attend WITHOUT calling first you might be turned away, also sometimes we have beach sessions or meditation sessions away from the specified venues.

 

 

Do we get certificates or belts etc:

YES, definately.

 

 

Do you do pressups and sit ups etc for fitness:

NO, we only do kungfu for every minute you are in the class, you will find these exercises will make you fit, and thus do not need to do pressups in class.

 

 

What do you do in class:

LOTS AND LOTS OF KUNGFU STUFF:

Jumping, Rolling
Punching, Kicking
Weapons
Locks, Holds
Slow & Fast Routines, Sparring
Meditation, Energy Work
Self Defence

May I train with my Wife/Husband/Boyfriend/Girlfriend:

ONLY AS LONG AS:
when you come to class you don't keep up the relationship in class
no hugging/ holding hands/ kissing etc
no pet names for each other,
everyone must not be aware of the relationship.
this is very important, as in the past when couples train and don't follow the rules, then they get jealous if they do not spar together, or get upset when this or that is not exactly as they want. This type of negativity which keeps the student from focussing on KungFu is NOT acceptable and will result in both students being banned from the school.

Does the training affect my Religion:

NO. Our policy on this is simple:
if ANYONE discusses Religion or Politics or asks personal questions
then they will be banned on the spot.
Our school teaches kungfu and does not allow Religeous, political or personal debate to start or get in the way of study.

 

 

When can I Join:

We run classes ALL YEAR, we only don't have class on a public holiday, otherwise we go right thru, no festive breaks etc, train train train. This means that you can start at anytime, and day, but REMEMBER:
the SOONER you start the better. If you wait then you might not.
